Veterans Village builds on its first-and-only national model with a park expansion project, which puts the focus on a new way to help improve the mental health and quality of life for America’s heroes housed at the facility in Downtown Las Vegas.
New Veterans Village Park includes three distinct zones:
Memorial Wall with serene reflection area surrounded by willow trees, with an entrance flanked by two new 30 foot flag poles. The Memorial Wall is a unique quarter circle structure that gently slopes upward from 24 to 30 inches, and is conceived to be the focal point of a gathering spot meant to inspire socialization in addition to reflection.
1,600 Square Foot Shaded Dog Park that will accommodate the 66 dogs that currently live on premise, and are an integral part of the on-site Veteran community
Expansive Gathering Plaza and rec area with BBQ stations and seating for dozens of Vets
The park was built as part of a partnership with Wynn Las Vegas and PENTA Building Group, who came together last year to design and construct the $1 million Crisis Intervention Center

On Monday morning April 2nd, 2018 at 5:00 am the designs were conceived by our “Design & Development Dream Team” at Grouchy’s coffee shop.
Pictured here from left to right is Brent Moser, Architects, Tony Cornell , PENTA Building Group and Darrell Richards Vice President Construction, Wynn Design & Development.
Yesterday, Steve Morenberg with PolyFab USA, donated the required shade fabric for the project. PolyFab madethe fabric for the large sails outside the Wynn Encore Beach Club and on some shading devices at the Wynn Golf course maintenance yard.
Next to step up was Hongyu Wang with HW Engineering. He is donating his engineering time for this project and is underway. Mr. Wang has been the engineer for over a decade and has engineered almost all of the projects that were manufactured for Wynn / Encore.
The Park @ Veterans Village #2 is well underway towards opening on Arbor Day, April 27, 2018 and will contain an urban farm, a dog park and a Veterans Plaza.
Special thanks to the amazing team at Wynn Las Vegas, PENTA Building Group and all the other skilled volunteers that will make this park a special place for our heroes.
With our all volunteer design “Dream Team” Veterans Village Las Vegas at our weekly meetings @5:00 am. Thank you Wynn Resorts!!!!
